Bad Wolves’ “Zombie” Reaches #1 On US iTunes Sales Chart

The “Zombie” cover is now the best-selling song on the US iTunes sales chart.

By mid-day Friday, Bad Wolves’ cover of “Zombie” had entered the Top 5 on the US iTunes sales chart.

By mid-day Saturday, it was up to #1 on the listing.

“We are excited but humbled,” wrote the band in a Tweet about the achievement.

The cover of The Cranberries classic holds that pinnacle position as of press time at 12:20PM ET.

Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey’s “The Middle” follows at #2, while Kelly Clarkson & Hoda Kotb’s “I’ve Loved You Since Forever” occupies the #3 position.

Drake’s “God’s Plan” (#4) and Bebe Rexha’s “Meant To Be (featuring Florida Georgia Line)” (#5) complete the Top 5.

— Upon releasing the cover, Bad Wolves noted that Cranberries frontwoman Dolores O’Riordan “loved our version” and was “was scheduled to record vocals on our rendition of ‘Zombie’ on the very day of her unexpected passing.”

“A portion of the proceeds from the song will go to her children.”
