Thursday’s editions of “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal” and “How To Get Away With Murder” suffered week-over-week losses in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.
According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, “Grey’s” drew a 1.7 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 7.13 million overall viewers.
Down from the 2.0 rating and 7.52 million viewer mark drawn last week, the numbers actually represent new season lows. The demo rating ties the series low.
Despite that season low distinction, the performance was still one of the best on network television Thursday night. Only “The Big Bang Theory” and “Young Sheldon” beat “Grey’s” in adults 18-49. Only those shows and “Mom” attracted larger overall audiences.
“Grey’s” led into “Scandal,” which drew a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating and 4.75 million overall viewers.
The numbers trail the 1.2 rating and 4.95 million viewer mark drawn by last week’s broadcast, but that episode was part one of the “How To Get Away With Scandal” crossover. This week’s performance is fairly consistent with what typical “Scandal” episodes have been drawing this season.
“How To Get Away With Murder” closed ABC’s night with a 0.9 adults 18-49 rating and 3.46 million viewers. As “HTGAWM” was a bigger beneficiary of the crossover than “Scandal,” it makes even more sense that this week’s episode would be down from last week’s broadcast (1.1, 4.14 million).
