Camila Cabello’s “Never Be The Same” Likely Headed For Pop Radio’s Top 10

“Never Be The Same” should move into the Top 10 on this week’s pop radio chart.

Last week, Camila Cabello’s “Havana (featuring Young Thug)” fell out of the Top 10 (and was removed from the chart as a recurrent) at pop radio.

This week, her follow-up single will likely enter that region of the Mediabase pop radio chart.

Cabello’s “Never Be The Same” received 6,462 spins during the first five days of the March 4-10 tracking period. Up 5.8% from the count at this point last week, the tally slots “Never Be The Same” at #10 on Mediabase’s building chart.

Because “Never Be The Same” does not hold a huge lead over Macklemore’s building #11 “Good Old Days (featuring Kesha)” (6,385 spins) it is too early to guarantee a Top 10 position for “Never Be The Same.”

The chances look quite good, however. Whereas “Never Be The Same” is up 5.8% from last week’s mark, “Good Old Days” is only up 0.4%. If it maintains that momentum advantage, “Never Be The Same” will obviously solidify its lead as the chart goes final.

Assuming it holds, “Never Be The Same” will be Cabello’s fourth Top 10 hit as a soloist (following her Shawn Mendes collaboration “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” her Machine Gun Kelly collaboration “Bad Things,” and the aforementioned “Havana”).

She also reached the Top 10 three times as part of Fifth Harmony (“Worth It,” “Work From Home” and “All In My Head”).
