L+SD Ratings: “Assassination Of Gianni Versace” Endures Decline In Week 7

This week’s “ACS” episode was down in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.

Last week’s edition of “The Assassination Of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story” posted episode-to-episode gains in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.

This week’s episode, which was the season’s seventh broadcast, gave some of those gains back.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s “ACS” drew a 0.28 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 917,000 overall viewers.

Last week’s episode posted a 0.34 in the demo and 1.095 million viewers.

Those numbers topped the 0.24 rating and 913,000 viewer mark garnered by the February 14 broadcast.

In comparison to the previous “American Crime Story” season and fellow FX franchise “American Horror Story,” the current iteration of “ACS” is a soft live+same-day ratings performer.

It does, however, continue to receive big lifts from DVR and multi-platform viewing. Noting the changing TV landscape, FX publicly downplays live+same-day ratings in favor of data that accounts for delayed viewership.
