Ratings: “This Is Us” Falls Against “Bachelor” Special, Still Wins Hour

“This Is Us” took a hit against the “The Bachelor: After The Final Rose.”

The bad news: Tuesday’s “This Is Us,” which faced competition from “The Bachelor: After The Final Rose,” was the lowest-rated episode since Halloween.

The good news: “This Is Us” still won the head-to-head battle with ABC’s reality juggernaut.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Tuesday’s “This Is Us” drew a 2.2 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 8.81 million overall viewers.

The numbers trail the 2.5 rating and 9.74 million viewer tally posted by last week’s episode. They, moreover, rank as the second-lowest marks of the season (and lowest marks for a non-holiday episode).

Only the aforementioned Halloween broadcast (2.0, 8.43 million viewers) drew lower numbers. In addition to the impact of Halloween, that episode faced competition from the World Series.

“This Is Us” nonetheless topped “The Bachelor” in the 9PM hour. ABC’s program drew a 2.1 rating and 7.45 million viewers from 9-10PM (the 8PM hour posted a 2.2 and 7.95 million).

“This Is Us,” moreover, ranked as its timeslot’s #1 show in adults 18-49. CBS’ older-skewing “Bull” won the hour in terms of overall audience (1.1 rating, 10.02 million viewers).

— NBC’s Tuesday also included “The Voice” (2.1, 9.93 million) and “Chicago Med” (1.4, 7.10 million).

— ABC’s Tuesday also included the season (and likely series) finale of “Kevin (Probably) Saves The World” (0.7, 2.59 million).
