Two recent country radio chart-toppers just earned new certifications in the United States.
According to the RIAA, Luke Combs’ breakthrough hit “Hurricane” earned a 2x-platinum award on February 26, 2018.
The award confirms at least 2 million in US units. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.
That same day, Kelsea Ballerini earned a gold certification for her “Legends.” The award signifies at least 500,000 in US units.
“Hurricane” was Luke Combs’ debut radio single. It peaked at #1 on the country radio chart, #3 on the Hot Country Songs chart and #31 on the Billboard Hot 100.
“Legends” was the lead single from Ballerini’s sophomore album “Unapologetically.” It reached #1 at country radio, #10 on Hot Country Songs and #68 on the Hot 100.
