“Winter Break: Hunter Mountain” Flops In Ratings, “Jersey Shore: Family Vacation” Gets Second Season

Ratings have emerged for the premiere of “Winter Break: Hunter Mountain.” They are not good.

Update: MTV has already given “Winter Break: Hunter Mountain” a new timeslot — and network. Beginning March 16, the show will air at Friday at 8PM ET — on MTV2.

Ratings for the premiere episode, which aired on Tuesday, February 27, are below. They were not good.

The premiere of MTV’s “Winter Break: Hunter Mountain” did not attract a substantial audience.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Tuesday’s series opener drew a paltry 0.10 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic. The half-hour episode averaged just 184,000 overall viewers.

“Winter Break” did not receive prime scheduling. It aired at 10:30PM — after a modestly rated “The Challenge” after-show (0.24, 422,000 million). The positioning made it very unlikely that “Winter Break” would emerge as a big hit.

Still, it is hard to view the numbers as anything but weak.

— The ratings report may not be kind to “Winter Break,” but Wednesday does bring good news for another show from executive producer SallyAnn Salsano.

“Jersey Shore: Family Vacation,” the upcoming “Jersey Shore” relaunch, has already been renewed for a second season at MTV.

The first season does not even premiere until April.
