Ratings: “The Voice” Rises From Fall Premiere, Slips From Previous Spring Opener

NBC aired “The Voice” and “Good Girls” Monday night.

From a live+same-day ratings standpoint, season fourteen of “The Voice” got off to a stronger start than season thirteen.

It drew a smaller audience, however, than last spring’s season twelve premiere (which aired on the year-ago evening).

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Monday’s “The Voice” drew a 2.8 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 12.3 million overall viewers.

The numbers, which position “The Voice” as Monday night’s #1 show, top the 2.6 rating and 10.6 million viewer mark drawn by this past fall’s season thirteen premiere.

They nonetheless trail the 3.1 rating and 13.0 million viewer mark garnered by the season twelve opener.

Mondays “The Voice” featured the debut of new coach Kelly Clarkson.

“The Voice” led into the premiere of “Good Girls,” which averaged a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating and 6.0 million overall viewers in the 10PM hour.

While the performance is not spectacular in the context of post-“The Voice” broadcasts, “Good Girls” did win the 10PM timeslot in adults 18-49.
