Ratings: FOX’s “9-1-1” Holds Steady In Demo, Wins Wednesday Night

FOX’s “9-1-1” was Wednesday’s top show in adults 18-49.

Last week, ABC’s “The Goldbergs” narrowly defeated FOX’s “9-1-1” to rank as Wednesday’s top show in adults 18-49.

This week, ABC aired a re-run of “The Goldbergs” (and all of its Wednesday comedies), allowing “9-1-1” to convincingly claim the throne.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s “9-1-1” drew a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 6.12 million overall viewers.

The demo rating, as noted, was the night’s best in adults 18-49. The viewership figure was the night’s fifth-best (“Chicago PD,” “SEAL Team,” “The Amazing Race” and “The Blacklist” drew larger overall audiences).

The demo rating, moreover, matches that drawn by last week’s “9-1-1.” That episode did, however, draw a slightly larger overall audience (6.57 million).

“9-1-1,” which has held up well in the weeks following its January 3 premiere, has already been renewed for season two.

— Earlier in the night, FOX aired “The X-Files.” Its 0.9 rating and 3.55 million viewer mark trail the 1.0 rating and 3.87 million viewer tally garnered last week.
