Zedd, Maren Morris & Grey’s “The Middle” Joins Top 3 On US iTunes Following Grammys

“The Middle” jumps into the Top 3 following the Target spot.

Zedd, Maren Morris and Grey’s newly released “The Middle” was part of the annual Target commercial showcase during the 60th Annual Grammy Awards.

Following the exposure, the song jumped into the Top 3 of the US iTunes sales chart.

“The Middle,” which was at the bottom of the Top 10 early in the show, is #3 on the chart as of press time at 1:15AM ET Monday. Only Justin Timberlake’s “Say Something” and Jason Aldean’s “You Make It Easy” are currently selling at a faster pace.

— While “The Middle” holds a higher position, Little Big Town’s “Better Man” and Kesha’s “Praying” have made much bigger jumps in the wake of their Grammys exposure.

Neither song was in the Top 100 prior to Sunday; both are now in the upper reaches of the chart. “Better Man” is currently #9, while “Praying” is #11.

“Better Man” won for Best Country Duo/Group Performance; the group also performed the show during Sunday’s ceremony.

Joined by Camila Cabello, Cyndi Lauper, Bebe Rexha, Julia Michaels and Andra Day, Kesha performed “Praying” in a segment many view as the highlight of the night.

— Currently #6 on iTunes, Bruno Mars & Cardi B’s “Finesse (Remix)” actually holds a higher position than “Better Man” and “Praying.” It has not, however, yet made a big post-Grammys positional gain (it is only up about 2 spots from its pre-show position).

— Other songs making post-Grammys moves include Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito (featuring Justin Bieber)” (up to #12), Childish Gambino’s “Redbone” (up to #15) and Chris Stapleton’s “Broken Halos” (up to #16).
