Grammys: Weeknd’s “Starboy” Named Best Urban Contemporary Album; Bruno’s “24K Magic” Best R&B Album

The Weeknd and Bruno Mars picked up album awards during the premiere stream.

The premiere ceremony at the 60th Annual Grammy Ceremony revealed this year’s winners for Best Urban Contemporary Album and Best R&B Album.

The Weeknd’s “Starboy” took home the trophy in the former category, while Bruno Mars’ “24K Magic” grabbed the latter prize.

Other urban contemporary nominees included “Free 6lack,” “Awaken, My Love,” “American Teen,” and “Ctrl.”

“24K Magic” faced competition from “Freudian,” “Let Love Rule,” “Gumbo,” and “Feel The Real” in the R&B category.

“24K Magic” is also up for the Album of the Year trophy. The winner of that race will be announced during the primetime telecast.
