Ed Sheeran’s “Divide” Claims Grammy For Best Pop Vocal Album

“Divide” was named the year’s best pop album.

To the surprise of many within the music industry, Ed Sheeran’s “Divide” was not nominated for Album Of The Year at the 60th Grammy Awards.

It was, however, up for Best Pop Vocal Album.

It won that award; news of the victory was announced during the afternoon premiere ceremony.

“Divide” beat out Coldplay’s “Kaleidoscope” EP, Lana Del Rey’s “Lust For Life,” Imagine Dragons’ “Evolve,” Kesha’s “Rainbow,” and Lady Gaga’s “Joanne.”

Sheeran is also up for Best Pop Solo Performance (“Shape Of You”). The winner of that category will be revealed during the main show.
