Ratings: FOX’s “The Four: Battle For Stardom” Adds Viewers In Week Three

“The Four” avoided a demo decline — and added some viewers — against ABC’s “TGIT” lineup.

From a ratings standpoint, this week was a good one for FOX’s midseason launches.

“LA To Vegas” enjoyed gains in adults 18-49 and overall viewership. “9-1-1” posted increases in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.

Despite facing competition from the midseason premieres of “Grey’s Anatomy” and “Scandal,” “The Four: Battle For Stardom” rose in viewership.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Thursday’s “The Four” averaged a 1.1 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 3.47 million overall viewers.

The viewership figure tops the 3.29 million mark delivered by last week’s broadcast. The adults 18-49 rating is steady with last week’s number (but an upward adjustment in the finals is possible).

While “The Four” remains an underwhelmin gdraw in context (it is a heavily hyped music competition series), it is hard to look negatively upon this specific performance. It is always admirable when a show can hold steady in week three. It is particularly noteworthy that “The Four” held steady in the face of increased competition.
