Ratings: “9-1-1” Falls In Episode Two, Still Wins Timeslot; “X-Files” Also Down

FOX’s Wednesday dramas were down in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.

Wednesday’s edition of “9-1-1” did not perform as well as last week’s premiere episode.

It did, however, still lead FOX to victory (among adults 18-49) in the 9PM hour.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s “9-1-1” drew a 1.5 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 5.49 million overall viewers.

The numbers trail the 1.8 rating and 6.83 million figures drawn by last week’s premiere.

The 1.5, nonetheless, positioned FOX as the #1 network at 9PM. ABC’s “Modern Family” (1.6) outperformed “9-1-1” from 9-9:30PM, but the network’s hourly average was brought down by 9:30PM comedy “American Housewife” (1.2).

In terms of the overall night, “9-1-1” tied “The Goldbergs” as the #2 show in the demo. Only the aforementioned “Modern Family” performed better.

— FOX led into “9-1-1” with “The X-Files.”

The show posted a 1.0 rating and 3.89 million in viewership this week. Last week’s season premiere scored a 1.3 in the demo and 5.15 million in viewers.
