Golden Globes: “Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” Wins For Comedy/Musical Series, “Handmaid’s Tale” For Drama

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association crowned this year’s best TV comedy/musical and drama.

By the end of the show’s second hour, the Golden Globes ceremony had revealed this year’s winners for Best Comedy or Musical Series and Best Drama Series.

“The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” won the Comedy or Musical award. It beat out “black-ish,” “Master Of None,” “SMILF” and “Will & Grace” for the coveted trophy.

“The Handmaid’s Tale,” meanwhile, took home the crown for drama series. Other nominees included “Game Of Thrones,” “The Crown,” “Stranger Things” and “This Is Us.”

— The victorious shows also took home other key awards Sunday night. “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” star Rachel Brosnahan won for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy Series, while “Handmaid’s Tale” lead Elisabeth Moss took home the Actress in a Drama Series trophy.
