ABC Confirms “How To Get Away With Scandal” Crossover; Tony Goldwyn Directed “Scandal” Episode

The worlds of “Scandal” and “How To Get Away With Murder” will collide this season.

Wednesday morning, “Scandal” star Kerry Washington and “How To Get Away With Murder” star Viola Davis teased a potential crossover.

Wednesday afternoon, ABC officially announced the “How To Get Away With Scandal” event.

“TGIT worlds will collide later this season when Annalise Keating and Olivia Pope share the screen during “How to Get Away with Murder” and “Scandal” crossover episodes,” says ABC.

Spanning one episode of “Scandal” and one episode of “HTGAWM,” the event will air later this season.

ABC notes that cast member (and occasional director) Tony Goldwyn helmed the “Scandal” episode from a script written by Raamla Mohamed.

Zetna Fuentes directed the “HTGAWM” episode, which was written by Morenike Balogun & Sarah L. Thompson.

Both shows, along with fellow “TGIT” drama “Grey’s Anatomy,” resume their seasons on January 18.
