Maroon 5 & SZA’s “What Lovers Do” Reaches Platinum In United States

“What Lovers Do” has reached the 1 million unit mark in the United States.

Maroon 5 won the Grammy For Best New Artist in 2005.

SZA is nominated for that award at the 2018 ceremony.

The two acts came together for the 2017 single “What Lovers Do,” and it has proven resonant with US music consumers.

According to the RIAA, “What Lovers Do” went platinum on December 14, 2017.

The award confirms 1 million in US units. Each unit is equal to 1 paid download or 150 streams.

A Top 5 hit at pop radio, “What Lovers Do” went as high as #9 on the Billboard Hot 100.
