Golden Globe Nominations Revealed; “Big Little Lies” Leads For TV, “The Shape Of Water” For Film

The ceremony will take place on January 7.

NBC’s broadcast of the annual Golden Globe Awards is set for January 7, 2018. Seth Meyers will be hosting the ceremony.

Monday, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association revealed which films, TV shows, actors, actresses, musicians, crew members and other industry notables will be up for the coveted awards.

With six nominations, “Big Little Lies” leads the way on the television front. It is up for Best Limited Series or TV Movie, while cast members Reese Witherspoon (Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie), Nicole Kidman (Best Actress in a Limited Series or Movie), Laura Dern (Best Supporting Actress), Shailene Woodley (Best Supporting Actress) and Alexander Skarsgard (Best Supporting Actor) are being honored for their individual performances.

With seven nods, “The Shape Of Water” ranks as this year’s most-nominated film. The film is up for Best Drama, Best Screenplay (Guillermo Del Toro, Vanessa Taylor) and Best Score (Alexandre Desplat). Helmer Guillermo Del Toro is up for Best Director, and Sally Hawkins (Best Actress, Drama), Octavia Spencer (Best Supporting Actress) and Richard Jenkins (Best Supporting Actor) have acting nominations.
