San Francisco’s WiLD 94.9 and 99.7 NOW were the biggest release day supporters.

While it does not formally impact radio until January 9, Camila Cabello’s new single “Never Be The Same” was released this Thursday.

Numerous pop stations provided release day supporter.

According to Mediabase, the biggest support came in the San Francisco market. WiLD 94.9 played the song 9 times, while fellow SF station 99.7 NOW offered 6 spins.

Other top opening day supporters included Nashville’s i106.7 (5 spins), Music Choice’s Top 40 channel (3 spins), Chattanooga’s Hits 96 (3 spins), Chicago’s B96 (3 spins) and Miami’s Hits 97.3 (3 spins).

Several other stations played “Never Be The Same” once or twice.

“Never Be The Same” is receiving pre-impact airplay even as Cabello’s current single “Havana” continues to dominate the pop radio. Set for a third week at #1, “Havana” received nearly 2000 more spins than the #2 song during the first five days of the December 3-9 tracking period.
