Ratings: FOX’s “Empire” Rises From Series Low, “STAR” Holds Steady

“Empire” posted week-to-week gains in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.

After delivering a series low performance last week, “Empire” enjoyed gains in adults 18-49 and overall viewership for this Wednesday’s episode.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s “Empire” drew a 1.8 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 5.70 million overall viewers.

The numbers top the 1.7 rating and 5.05 million viewer mark drawn by the previous broadcast.

The adults 18-49 rating, moreover, tied that of CBS’ “Survivor” for first place on the night.

Granted, it is not as if this week’s performance constitutes a major victory for “Empire.” The numbers are still a far cry from what “Empire” was doing last December, let alone in its monstrously successful first two seasons.

— “Empire” led into “STAR,” which posted a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating and 4.01 million viewership mark this week. Last week’s “STAR” drew a 1.2 rating and 3.67 million in viewership.
