Ratings: FOX’s “Empire” Falls To New Series Low, “STAR” Holds Steady

“Empire” returned with series low numbers in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.

Off last week, FOX’s “Empire” returned with an original installment this Wednesday.

The episode set new live+same-day lows in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Wednesday’s “Empire” drew a 1.6 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 5.08 million overall viewers.

The numbers, which trail the 2.0 rating and 6.05 million viewer mark drawn by the previous episode, represent new series lows for “Empire.”

Set by the November 8 episode, the show’s previous lows were a 1.8 demo rating and 5.40 million viewer mark.

Even if this week’s “Empire” receives upward adjustments in the final ratings report, it will doubtfully move ahead of those numbers. It will almost certainly stand as the lowest-rated episode on record.

— “Empire” led into “STAR,” which drew a 1.2 adults 18-49 rating and 3.68 million viewers. The previous episode drew a 1.2 rating and 3.74 million.
