Grammys: Calvin Harris, Greg Kurstin, Blake Mills, NO ID, Stereotypes Nominated For Producer Of Year

They produced songs for Bruno Mars, Fifth Harmony, ZAYN, Halsey and more.

Calvin Harris may not have received an album or song nomination this year, but he will be in contention for Producer of the Year (non-classical) at the 60th Grammy Awards.

Harris joins Greg Kurstin, Blake Mills, NO I.D. and The Stereotypes in the category. The producers are responsible for some of the year’s most lauded and/or successful recordings.

Per the official Grammy nominations list, Harris’ nod is based on his own “Funk Wav Bounces, Volume 1” album as well as “Don’t Quit (featuring Travi$ Scott & Jeremih),” his song with DJ Khaled.

Kurstin picks up the nomination for his work with Foo Fighters (“Concrete And Gold,” album), Beck (“Dear Life,” song), ZAYN (“Dusk Till Dawn ft. Sia,” song), Kendrick Lamar (“LOVE ft. Zacari,” song), Halsey (“Strangers ft. Lauren Jauregui,” song) and Liam Gallagher (“Wall Of Glass,” song).

Mills garnered recognition for his production for John Legend (“Darkness & Light,” album), Jim James (“Eternally Even,” album), John Legend & Cynthia Erivo (“God Only Knows ft. yMusic,” song), Jesca Hoop (“Memories Are Now,” album), Perfume Genius (“No Shape,” album), and Laura Marling (“Semper Femina,” album).

NO I.D. produced music for Logic (“America ft. Black Thought, Chuck D, Big Lenbo & No ID,” song), Vic Mensa (“The Autobiography,” album) and Jay-Z (“4:44,” album). No I.D.’s work actually yielded five overall nominations this year, tying him with Khalid, SZA and Childish Gambino for fourth-most among all musicians.

The Stereotypes are recognized for their work with Sevyn Streeter (“Before I Do,” song), Lil Yachty (“Better ft. Stefflon Don,” song), Fifth Harmony (“Deliver,” song), Iggy Azalea (“Mo Bounce,” song), Kyle (“Sunshine ft. Miguel,” song) and Bruno Mars (“Finesse” & “That’s What I Like,” songs).
