This Saturday afternoon, Hits Daily Double shared preliminary sales projections for Kenny Chesney’s “Live In No Shoes Nation.” They called for an opening week pure sales total in the 135-155,000 range.
The numbers have since been significantly upgraded.
Hits now expects the live album to sell 179-187,000 pure US copies this week. The album will only receive nominal boosts from TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500), so its consumption total will be in a similar range.
The pure sales figure will be enough for a comfortable #1 bow on the Billboard Top Album Sales chart. The consumption mark will earn Chesney’s album #1 on the Billboard 200.
A concert ticket/album bundle is contributing handsomely to the opening week sales figure. Based on the aforementioned projection, “Live In No Shoes Nation” is on track to receive the second-biggest “bundle boost” of all-time (after P!nk’s “Beautiful Trauma,” which sold upwards of 200,000 first-week copies as part of the bundle promotion).
