Niall Horan’s “Flicker” Pacing For #1 With 120-130K US Sales, 150-160K US Units

Niall Horan’s new album should debut at #1 on Top Album Sales and the Billboard 200

Early projections have emerged for Niall Horan’s “Flicker,” and they confirm significant interest in the One Direction member’s solo debut.

Based on opening day data, Hits Daily Double expects “Flicker” to sell 120-130,000 pure US copies this week.

With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) included, “Flicker” should generate 150-160,000 in total US consumption units.

The former figure will be enough for #1 on the Top Album Sales chart, while the latter will likely yield a #1 bow on the Billboard 200.

Its closest competition on the Billboard 200 will likely be Future & Young Thug’s “Super Slimey.” Hits expects the surprise mixtape to generate 85-110,000 in total consumption units (with 20-30,000 coming from pure sales).

Should “Flicker” indeed debut at #1 on the Billboard 200, it will keep the streak alive for One Direction originals. ZAYN’s debut album “Mind Of Mine” and Harry Styles’ self-titled studio debut both claimed #1 on the Billboard 200.

Fellow 1D originals Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne have yet to release their first albums.
