Ratings: FOX’s “Empire” Ties Series Low, “STAR” Falls 22%

“Empire” and “STAR” fell from last week’s season premieres.

While they still fared well from a competitive standpoint, FOX’s “Empire” and “STAR” fell substantially from last week’s season premieres.

According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, “Empire” drew a 1.9 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 5.82 million overall viewers.

The numbers trail the 2.4 rating and 7.05 million viewer mark drawn by last week’s fourth season premiere. The adults 18-49 rating, moreover, ties a series low.

Despite the decline, “Empire” still tied “Modern Family” for first place in the demo.

“Empire” led into “STAR,” which posted a 1.4 adults 18-49 rating and 4.64 million in viewership. Last week’s season premiere drew 5.40 million.

While the declines from last week are substantial, this week’s “STAR” numbers remain above the show’s first season averages.
