ABC’s “The Good Doctor” got off to a very good start.
According to fast national data posted by Showbuzz, Monday’s premiere drew a 2.4 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 11.82 million viewers.
Those preliminary numbers may be slightly inflated by a Dallas football pre-emption, but they should remain strong even after the data is adjusted.
“The Good Doctor” grew considerably from its “Dancing With The Stars” lead-in, which drew a 1.6 rating and averaged 9.31 million viewers in the 9PM timeslot (it averaged a 1.5 and 9.07 million viewers from 8-10PM).
It also markedly outperformed its 10PM competition: NBC’s new drama “The Brave” (1.4 rating, 6.17 million viewers leading out of “The Voice”) and CBS’ veteran “Scorpion” (1.0, 5.73 million).
