Update: Billboard has confirmed the news. Foo Fighters’ “Concrete And Gold” debuts at #1 on this week’s Billboard Top Album Sales and Billboard 200 charts.
It tops the former with what Billboard reports as 120,000 pure US album sales. The inclusion of TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) yields a first-week consumption total of 127,000, which is enough for #1 on the Billboard 200.
Lil Uzi Vert’s “Luv Is Rage 2” takes #2 on the Billboard 200 with 50,000 units, while Thomas Rhett’s “Unforgettable” earns #3 with 39,000.
Kendrick Lamar’s “DAMN.” (#4, 34,000 units) and XXXTentacion’s “17” (#5, 33,000) complete the Top 5.

In an utterly unsurprising outcome, Foo Fighters’ “Concrete And Gold” claims victory in this week’s US album sales and consumption races.
According to Hits Daily Double and BuzzAngle, “Concrete And Gold” sold approximately 121,908 pure US copies during the September 15-21 tracking week.
With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) included, it generated 130,137 in total first-week US consumption units.
Due Sunday, Billboard’s more authoritative data may differ slightly from that reported by BuzzAngle. The discrepancies will not, however, affect the overall chart outcomes. The pure sales figure will earn “Concrete And Gold” #1 on Billboard Top Album Sales, while the consumption figure will yield a #1 position on the Billboard 200.
“Concrete And Gold” will be Foo Fighters’ second #1 on the Billboard 200. The band previously topped the chart with 2011’s “Wasting Light.”
