Ratings: “American Horror Story: Cult” Endures Slight Decline In Week Three

“AHS: Cult” suffered a slight week-over-week loss in live+same-day viewership.

From a live+same-day standpoint, Tuesday’s “American Horror Story: Cult” endured modest losses in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Tuesday’s “Cult” drew a 1.15 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 2.25 million overall viewers.

The numbers trail the 1.24 rating and 2.38 million viewer mark drawn by last week’s episode.

Like the previous two episodes, this week’s “Cult” ranked as cable’s top Tuesday original in adults 18-49. It was #2 among all Tuesday night television programs in the key demo — only NBC’s “America’s Got Talent” (3.0) fared better.

Despite the marked declines from the past few seasons, “AHS: Cult” thus remains a strong live+same-day performer in today’s television climate.

FX, moreover, notes that it does not evaluate shows based on linear, live+same-day numbers. It includes DVR and multi-platform viewing in its analysis, and the “AHS” franchise tends to perform particularly well in those areas.
