The streak predictably continues for Julia Louis-Dreyfus.
The “Veep” star just picked up a sixth consecutive Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series Emmy for her work as Selina Meyer.
In doing so, the actress sets the record for most Emmy wins for a single role. She previously shared the record with Candice Bergen, who won five times for her work on “Murphy Brown.”
This year’s other Outstanding Lead Actress nominees included Pamela Adlon, Jane Fonda, Allison Janney, Ellie Kemper, Tracee Ellis Ross, and Lily Tomlin.
