Niall Horan’s “Slow Hands” Officially Enters Top 5 At Pop Radio

The One Direction member scores his first solo Top 5.

Making good on Headline Planet’s projection, Niall Horan’s “Slow Hands” enters the Top 5 on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

Played ~14,890 times during the August 27-September 2 tracking week, “Slow Hands” rises two spots to #4.

This week’s spin count tops last week’s mark by a healthy 1,718 spins. Only Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” (+5,029), Maroon 5’s “What Lovers Do (featuring SZA)” (+2,872) and Justin Bieber & BloodPop’s “Friends” (+2,029) enjoyed greater gains.

In reaching #4, “Slow Hands” becomes Horan’s first Top 5 pop radio hit outside One Direction.

Horan is the second One Direction member (and first of the current lineup) to score such a hit. ZAYN has reached the Top 5 twice — with “PILLOWTALK” and “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” — since departing 1D.
