Taylor Swift Scores First UK #1 With “Look What You Made Me Do”

“Look What You Made Me Do” earns the top spot on this week’s UK singles chart.

Taylor Swift’s pre-“Reputation” discography includes numerous songs that fared well in the United Kingdom. Three peaked at #2, and others earned lower positions in the Top 5.

It does not, however, include a #1 UK hit.

This week, the first “Reputation” single accomplishes what no previous Taylor Swift song achieved: it claims the top spot on the Official UK Singles Chart.

Powered by mammoth first week sales and streaming numbers, “Look” debuts at #1. It seizes the throne from Dua Lipa’s “New Rules,” which spent the past two weeks on top.

Up one place, P!nk’s “What About Us” earns #3 on this week’s chart. Calvin Harris’ “Feels (featuring Pharrell, Katy Perry & Big Sean)” falls one spot to #4, while Justin Bieber & BloodPop’s “Friends” drops three places to #5.

Other notables on this week’s chart:

— Chris Brown’s “Questions” rises two spots to #19.
— Macklemore’s “Glorious (featuring Skylar Grey)” leaps thirteen places to #23.
— Camila Cabello’s “Havana (featuring Young Thug)” jumps thirteen spots to #24.
— Lil Uzi Vert’s “XO Tour Llif3” rises five places to #25.
— Katy Perry’s “Swish Swish (featuring Nicki Minaj)” soars twenty-nine spots to #29.
— Axwell Λ Ingrosso’s “More Than You Know” ascends three positions to #30.
— Avicii’s “Lonely Together (featuring Rita Ora)” climbs seven spots to #37.
— J Hus’ “Spirit” rises six places to #39.
