Charlie Puth’s “Attention” Reaches #1 At Pop Radio

Puth scores his first pop radio chart-topper as a lead artist.

Making good on the projection, Charlie Puth’s “Attention” reaches #1 at on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

The song, which was #2 last week, seizes the throne from Shawn Mendes’ “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back.”

“Attention” received ~18,770 spins during the August 20-26 tracking week, besting last week’s mark by 706 spins. “There’s Nothing,” which falls to #2, received ~17,991 spins (-195).

“Attention” marks Puth’s first pop radio #1 as a lead artist. His only previous trip to the top came as a featured artist on Wiz Khalifa’s “See You Again.”

Up one place, Imagine Dragons’ “Believer” takes #3 with ~16,403 plays (+40). Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito (featuring Justin Bieber)” falls one spot to #4 with ~14,258 plays (-2,413), while a spin count of ~14,062 (+286) keeps DJ Khaled’s “Wild Thoughts (featuring Rihanna & Bryson Tiller)” at #5.
