Ratings: MTV’s “Siesta Key” Declines In Week Three

MTV’s new series endures another week-to-week slide.

The third episode of “Siesta Key” endured week-over-week losses in adults 18-49 and overall viewership.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Monday’s “Siesta Key” drew a 0.32 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 566,000 overall viewers.

The numbers trail the 0.36 rating and 610,000 viewer mark drawn by last week’s broadcast. The previous week’s premiere drew a 0.38 rating and 674,000 viewers.

Declines in the three or four weeks following a show’s premiere are not uncommon. In this case, they do, however, increase doubt that “Siesta Key” will break out as a hit, let alone a pop culture phenomenon.

— Lead-in “Teen Mom” also endured declines this week. This week’s episode drew a 0.76 adults 18-49 rating and 1.328 million viewers in the 9PM hour. Last week’s broadcast managed a 0.80 rating and 1.410 million.
