Kesha’s “Rainbow” Projected For #1 Debut With 80-90K US Sales, 95-115K Units

Kesha’s “Rainbow” is on pace to claim #1 on the US album sales and consumption charts.

“Rainbow,” Kesha’s first studio album since 2012, is expected to comfortably top this week’s US album sales and consumption charts.

Based on opening day data, Hits Daily Double expects “Rainbow” to sell 80-90,000 pure US albums this week. With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) included, the album may debut with 95-115,000 in total US consumption units.

The former figure should be enough for a convincing #1 debut on Billboard Top Album Sales. The consumption figure should net “Praying” a clear #1 debut on the Billboard 200.

“Rainbow” will follow 2010’s “Animal” in becoming Kesha’s second #1 album. “Warrior,” her 2012 release, debuted at #6.
