Ratings: HBO’s “Game Of Thrones” Climbs To New Series High In Viewership

Sunday’s “Game Of Thrones,” which leaked ahead of the TV premiere, was the most-watched episode yet.

Sunday’s “Game Of Thrones” did not simply outperform all other Sunday television shows.

It also outperformed every previous “Game Of Thrones” episode in terms of live+same-day viewership. It was the series’ #2 all-time performer in adults 18-49.

According to live+same-day posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s episode drew a 4.60 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 10.17 million overall viewers.

The viewership figure is the best ever achieved by the HBO flagship, while the adults 18-49 trails only the seventh season premiere (4.71) as the second-best on record.

Last week’s “Game Of Thrones” drew a 4.30 rating and 9.25 million viewers.

— “Game Of Thrones” led into “Ballers,” which posted a 1.12 rating and 2.28 million in viewership (versus 1.26/2.58 million last week). “Insecure” followed with a 0.60 and 1.16 million (versus 0.66/1.29 million last week), while “Last Week Tonight” closed HBO’s evening with a 0.71 and 1.75 million (versus 0.67/1.76 million last week).
