Arcade Fire’s “Everything Now” Wins US Sales Race, Will Claim #1 On Billboard 200

“Everything Now” predictably debuts at #1 in the United States.

Arcade Fire’s “Everything Now” predictably — and convincingly — wins this week’s US album sales and consumption races.

According to BuzzAngle and Hits Daily Double, “Everything Now” sold approximately ~89,798 pure US copies during the July 28-August 3 tracking week.

The count easily ranks as the week’s best; the #2 figure looks to be shy of 20,000.

In addition to the enthusiasm one would expect for an Arcade Fire album, “Everything Now” benefited from a promotion in which albums were bundled with tickets to the “Infinite Content” concert tour.

With TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) included, “Everything Now” debuted with about ~95,909 total US consumption units. That figure also ranks as the week’s best.

Due Sunday, Billboard’s more authoritative data may differ slightly from that reported by BuzzAngle. The discrepancy will not, however, affect the overall outcome. The pure sales figure will earn “Everything Now” #1 on Billboard Top Album Sales, while the consumption tally will slot the album atop the Billboard 200.
