Ratings: HBO’s “Game Of Thrones” Delivers Another Dominant Sunday Performance

“Game Of Thrones” was down slightly from last week but still far stronger than its Sunday competition.

Sunday’s “Game Of Thrones” was down slightly from last week’s episode in adults 18-49 and total viewership.

It nonetheless remained Sunday’s #1 show — by a sizable margin. It also outperformed the corresponding episode from last season.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, Sunday’s episode drew a 4.30 adults 18-49 rating and 9.25 million overall viewers. While the numbers narrowly trail the 4.33 rating and 9.27 million viewer mark drawn by last week’s episode, they easily rank as the best drawn by a show this Sunday.

The adults 18-49 rating was the fourth-best on record (below only last week’s episode, the July 16 season 7 premiere and the season 6 finale). The viewership figure is the third-best (beneath only the two prior episodes from this season).

The numbers also markedly top those drawn by the third episode of the previous season. That episode, which aired on May 8, 2016, drew a 3.70 in the demo and 7.28 million in overall viewership.

— “Game Of Thrones” led into “Ballers,” which drew a 1.26 rating and 2.58 million viewers (vs. a 1.22 and 2.48 million last week). “Insecure” followed with a 0.66 and 1.29 million (vs. a 0.55 rating and 1.18 million last week).

“Last Week Tonight” closed HBO’s evening with a 0.67 rating and 1.76 million viewers.
