Update: The view count for Major Lazer’s “Sua Cara (featuring Anitta & Pabllo Vittar)” continues to grow at a rapid rate.

The video premiered on YouTube Sunday afternoon.

By 11:20AM ET Monday morning, the view count had already crossed 14 million. Brazilian support for the featured acts deserves immense credit for the early success.

It crossed the 5 million mark within its first few hours on YouTube.

It needed just over 8 hours to blast past the 10 million mark.

As of press time at 12:30AM ET, the video boasts an official view count of 10.2 million. As impressive as it is, the figure may actually be inaccurately low due to YouTube’s cached reporting.

Sunday afternoon, Major Lazer released the video for its “Sua Cara (featuring Anitta & Pabllo Vittar).”

The 2:47 video received a very warm welcome from fans.

How warm, you ask? The video crossed 5 million YouTube views within its first few hours of release. As of press time at 8:40PM ET, its view count is listed at 5.9 million (a number that may be inaccurately low due to cached reporting).

Trio Major Lazer was quick to credit Brazilian fans (many of whom were surely drawn by Anitta and Vittar) for the surge of interest.

“BRASIL BREAKING THE INTERNET!!,” wrote Major Lazer after the video reached 2.7 million views in its first hour. Major Lazer member Diplo Tweeted an additional shout-out to Brazilian fans when the video hit 5 million views.
