Ratings: “Pretty Little Liars” Finale Sets Season High In Demo, Trails Season Premiere In Viewers

News on viewership for the “PLL” finale.

Tuesday’s “Pretty Little Liars” finale did not draw spectacular ratings, particularly in comparison to numbers from previous seasons.

It did, however, set a season seven high in adults 18-49. It was the season’s second-most-watched episode in terms of overall live+same-day viewership.

According to live+same-day data posted by Showbuzz, the episode drew a 0.72 adults 18-49 rating and averaged 1.406 million overall viewers. The numbers comfortably top those of last week’s episode, which drew a 0.43 and 830,000.

The demo rating, moreover, represents a season high. The viewership figure trails that of the season premiere (1.429 million) as the second best in season seven.

Still, it is hard to view these numbers as a huge victory for a show that has long served as Freeform’s flagship. It was not until late in season four that an episode drew fewer than 2 million viewers, and it was not until late in season six that viewership below 1.5 million became a regularity for “PLL.”
