Hey Violet released its new album “From The Outside” this past Friday.
Monday, the band confirmed the next single from the album.
In conjunction with an afternoon live stream, Hey Violet revealed “Hoodie” as said new single. The song will serve as the follow-up to “Break My Heart,” which became the band’s second song to chart at pop radio.
The announcement is hardly surprising. With memorable lyrics and an outstanding chorus, “Hoodie” is one of the catchiest — and most radio-friendly — tracks on the album. It was also added to Spotify’s “New Music Friday” and “Pop Rising” playlists in conjunction with Friday’s album launch.
With “Break My Heart” still charting at pop radio (and actually up in week-over-week airplay), it is unclear when the “Hoodie” radio campaign will begin.
