Luis Fonsi, Daddy Yankee & Justin Bieber’s “Despacito” Reaches Top 3 At Pop, Top 4 At Rhythmic

“Despacito” soars to new highs at the pop and rhythmic radio formats.

Powered by mammoth week-over-week airplay gains, Luis Fonsi & Daddy Yankee’s “Despacito (featuring Justin Bieber)” rockets to new highs on this week’s Mediabase pop and rhythmic radio airplay charts.

It rises five places to #3 on the pop listing and climbs three spots to #4 at rhythmic.

“Despacito” received ~14,589 pop spins during the June 11-17 tracking week. The count bests last week’s mark by a healthy 1,869 spins; only David Guetta’s “2U (featuring Justin Bieber)” enjoyed a greater weekly airplay gain (+2,385).

The single meanwhile received ~4,578 tracking week spins at rhythmic. Its week-over-week increase of 693 represents rhythmic radio’s greatest weekly airplay gain.

— DJ Khaled’s “I’m The One (featuring Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper & Lil Wayne)” also enters the Top 5 at pop radio this week; it rises two spots to #5.

— Childish Gambino’s “Redbone” also enters rhythmic radio’s Top 5; it climbs one place to #5.
