Update: Katy Perry’s “Witness” Now Pacing For 160-175K US Sales, 180-195K Units

“Witness” is still on track to top this week’s US album charts.

Updated opening week sales and consumption projections have emerged for Katy Perry’s “Witness.”

On the one hand, they are lower than those issued this weekend.

On the other hand, the album remains on track for a convincing #1 debut.

According to Hits Daily Double, “Witness” is now expected to sell 160-175K US copies this week. The inclusion of TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) should yield a first-week consumption total of 180-195K units.

The projections trail those issued on Saturday, which called for 175-200K US sales and 200-225K US units.

The pure sales figure will still be enough for a dominant #1 on Billboard Top Album Sales, while the consumption number will comfortably earn “Witness” the top spot on the Billboard 200.
