Muse’s “Dig Down” Erupts As Alternative Radio’s Most Added Song

The new Muse single had a big impact week at alternative radio.

Muse’s new single “Dig Down” received an enthusiastic welcome at alternative radio.

Picked up by 50 Mediabase-monitored alternative stations in conjunction with this week’s official impact, it convincingly ranks as the format’s most added song.

The count tops that of the next-most added song by a factor of more than 7.

The National’s “The System Only Dreams In Total Darkness,” which takes second on this week’s add board, won support from another 7 stations this week.

Each added by 6 stations, blink-182’s “Home Is Such A Lonely Place” and The Lumineers’ “Angela” tie for third place. Joywave’s “It’s A Trip!” takes fifth place with 5 adds.

Seven songs follow in a tie for sixth; Andrew McMahon In The Wilderness’ “So Close,” Foster The People’s “Doing It For The Money,” Incubus’ “State Of The Art,” Phoenix’s “J-Boy,” Rag’n’Bone Man’s “Skin,” Red Hot Chili Peppers’ “Goodbye Angels” and Rise Against’s “The Violence” were each added by 4 stations.
