Imagine Dragons’ “Believer” Reaches #2 On iTunes Sales Chart After Billboard Awards

Sam Hunt’s song also enters the Top 5, while Julia Michaels’ “Issues” and Miley’s “Malibu” join the Top 10.

Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards ceremony has not spurred massive sales gains in the vein of, say, a big country music awards show, but it has helped several songs improve their positions.

Imagine Dragons’ “Believer,” for instance, is #2 on the US iTunes sales chart as of 9:20AM ET Monday morning.

The gain is owed to a potent combination of a discounted iTunes price point and a strong BBMA performance. Headline Planet called “Believer” the #3 performance of the night, beneath only Bruno Mars’ “Versace On The Floor” and Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On.”

Sam Hunt’s “Body Like A Back Road” is back in the Top 5 following the performance (at #5), while Julia Michaels’ (discounted) “Issues” (#6) and Miley Cyrus’ “Malibu” (#9) are back in the Top 10.
