Sunday’s Billboard Music Awards ceremony has not spurred massive sales gains in the vein of, say, a big country music awards show, but it has helped several songs improve their positions.
Imagine Dragons’ “Believer,” for instance, is #2 on the US iTunes sales chart as of 9:20AM ET Monday morning.
The gain is owed to a potent combination of a discounted iTunes price point and a strong BBMA performance. Headline Planet called “Believer” the #3 performance of the night, beneath only Bruno Mars’ “Versace On The Floor” and Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On.”
Sam Hunt’s “Body Like A Back Road” is back in the Top 5 following the performance (at #5), while Julia Michaels’ (discounted) “Issues” (#6) and Miley Cyrus’ “Malibu” (#9) are back in the Top 10.
