The Chainsmokers & Coldplay’s “Something Just Like This” Earns #1 At Pop Radio

The collaboration is the 3rd pop radio #1 for the Chainsmokers and first for Coldplay.

Making good on the projection, The Chainsmokers & Coldplay’s “Something Just Like This” reaches #1 on this week’s Mediabase pop radio airplay chart.

Up one spot from last week’s position, “Something” earns #1 on the strength of its ~18,581 tracking period plays (+269).

“Something” follows “Don’t Let Me Down (featuring Daya)” and “Closer (featuring Halsey)” as the third pop radio #1 for The Chainsmokers. It is the first such hit for Coldplay.

“Something” seizes the throne from Bruno Mars’ “That’s What I Like,” which falls to #2 after three weeks on top. “That’s What I Like” received ~17,968 spins during the official tracking period (-588).

Kygo x Selena Gomez’ “It Ain’t Me” holds at #3 with ~17,778 spins (+207), while Zedd & Alessia Cara’s “Stay” keeps #4 on the strength of its ~17,295 spins (+1,182).

Ed Sheeran’s “Shape Of You,” which received ~15,077 spins (-849), holds at #5.
