The Voice’s Lauren Duski Earns #1 On iTunes Chart; Chris, Vanessa, Aliyah, Hunter Also Top 10

Lauren Duski’s “Ghost In This House” reaches #1 on the US iTunes sales chart. Chris Blue’s song is #2.

Update 2: The 12PM ET “The Voice” voting deadline just arrived, and five songs occupied the Top 10 of the US iTunes sales chart.

Those five songs, accordingly, will receive 5x multipliers on their official iTunes vote totals.

Lauren Duski’s “Ghost In This House,” the top-performing of Monday’s songs, was #1 on the chart. Chris Blue’s “Take Me To The King” directly followed at #2.

Blue also had a second song in the Top 10; his “If I Ain’t Got You” duet with Vanessa Ferguson occupied #6. Blue and Ferguson will both receive credit for that song’s iTunes performance (and bonus).

Aliyah Moulden’s “I Can Only Imagine,” the fourth song in the Top 10, was #7 at the voting deadline. Hunter Plake’s “With Or Without You” followed at #10**.

Here is how all twelve of Monday’s songs were positioned at the deadline:
1) Lauren Duski – Team Blake – Ghost In This House
2) Chris Blue – Team Alicia – Take Me To The King
6) Chris Blue & Vanessa Ferguson – Team Alicia – If I Ain’t Got You
7) Aliyah Moulden – Team Blake – I Can Only Imagine
10) Hunter Plake – Team Gwen – With Or Without You
15) Jesse Larson – Team Adam – I Was Wrong
19) Aliyah Moulden & Hunter Plake – Teams Blake & Gwen – Let It Go
25) Lauren Duski & Brennley Brown – Teams Blake & Gwen – A Good Hearted Woman
27) Vanessa Ferguson – Team Alicia – Superstar
44) Brennley Brown – Team Gwen – Suds In The Bucket
63) TSoul – Team Blake – Ain’t No Way
98) Jesse Larson & TSoul – Teams Adam & Blake – I Wish

**Note: There were some issues with how Hunter Plake’s “With Or Without You” was displayed on the iTunes sales chart. While most chart feeds had the song listed at #10 when voting closed, at least one version of the chart had it listed back at #18.

The issue was seemingly connected to an iTunes glitch that listed two (duplicate) versions of “With Or Without You” as available for purchase.

We’re assuming the #10 position will prevail, but “The Voice” fans should be aware of the situation in the event NBC only announces multipliers for Lauren, Chris, Vanessa and Aliyah.

Similar chart oddities have occurred throughout the season, but this is the only clear instance of a glitch potentially affecting a contestant’s bonus.

Update: As of 2AM ET, four of Monday’s “The Voice” songs are in the Top 10 of the US iTunes sales chart. Two are at the very top of the chart.

Lauren Duski’s “Ghost In This House” is currently #1 on the listing, while Chris Blue’s “Take Me To The King” is #2.

Chris Blue and Vanessa Ferguson’s “If I Ain’t Got You” (#6) and Aliyah Moulden’s “I Can Only Imagine” (#10) also occupy Top 10 slots.

Songs (including duets) that hold Top 10 positions at the 12PM ET voting deadline will receive 5x multipliers on their iTunes vote/sales totals.

Blue, therefore, has two songs poised to receive iTunes bonuses.

Before Monday’s west coast “The Voice” broadcast reached its midway point, one of the night’s recordings had reached #1 on the US iTunes sales chart.

Lauren Duski’s “Ghost In This House” rocketed to that position shortly after her performance on Monday’s show. Upon doing so, “Ghost In This House” became the first season twelve recording to reach #1.

It is all but certain “Ghost In This House” will remain in the Top 10 (and likely retain its #1 position) through the 12PM ET voting deadline. If it indeed holds a Top 10 position at the close of voting, the song’s iTunes vote/sales total will be multiplied by 5.

Duski is not the only contestant poised to receive such a bonus this week. Chris Blue’s “Take Me To The King,” which is #2 as of press time at 12:15AM ET, is also a near lock to retain its Top 10 position for the duration of the voting window.

Blue also has a legitimate shot at a second bonus. “If I Ain’t Got You,” his duet with Vanessa Ferguson, is #12 on the US iTunes charts — and thus within striking distance of the Top 10. NBC rules confirm that duets are eligible for iTunes votes and bonuses (the tallies will be credited to both artists).

Three other songs are just outside the Top 10: Aliyah Moulden’s “I Can Only Imagine” is #15, Hunter Plake’s “With Or Without You” is #17, and Jesse Larson’s “I Was Wrong” is #18.

Here is how all of the night’s performances are positioned as of 12AM ET:
1) Lauren Duski – Team Blake – Ghost In This House
2) Chris Blue – Team Alicia – Take Me To The King
12) Chris Blue & Vanessa Ferguson – Team Alicia – If I Ain’t Got You
15) Aliyah Moulden – Team Blake – I Can Only Imagine
17) Hunter Plake – Team Gwen – With Or Without You
18) Jesse Larson – Team Adam – I Was Wrong
25) Aliyah Moulden & Hunter Plake – Teams Blake & Gwen – Let It Go
31) Lauren Duski & Brennley Brown – Teams Blake & Gwen – A Good Hearted Woman
40) Vanessa Ferguson – Team Alicia – Superstar
57) Brennley Brown – Team Gwen – Suds In The Bucket
61) Jesse Larson & TSoul – Teams Adam & Blake – I Wish
85) TSoul – Team Blake – Ain’t No Way
