The Chainsmokers, Halsey, Sam Hunt Added As Billboard Music Awards Performers

Three new acts have been confirmed for the 2017 Billboard Music Awards.

dick clark productions just added three names to the 2017 Billboard Music Awards lineup.

Per an official announcement, The Chainsmokers, Halsey and Sam Hunt will all take the stage at the May 21 ceremony.

The Chainsmokers and Halsey collaborated on the 2016 smash “Closer, which spent 12 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. “Closer” was one of several recent hits for The Chainsmokers, who have spent the past 53 weeks in the Top 10 of the Hot 100.

“Halsey” is currently charting in the Top 40 with solo single “Now Or Never.” Her forthcoming album “hopeless fountain kingdom” is expected to debut near the top of the Billboard 200.

Hunt has spent the past thirteen weeks atop the Hot Country Songs chart with his smash “Body Like A Back Road.” The single also became the first country song since Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise” to reach the Top 10 of the all-genre Hot 100.

The newly confirmed names join a star-studded list of performers that includes Camila Cabello, Miley Cyrus, Celine Dion, Drake, Florida Georgia Line, Imagine Dragons, John Legend, Lorde, Bruno Mars, Nicki Minaj, Ed Sheeran and 2017 Billboard Music Awards ICON Award recipient, Cher.
