Lea Michele’s “Places” Pacing For 13-15K US Album Sales

An early sales projection for Lea Michele’s sophomore album.

An initial sales projection has emerged for Lea Michele’s “Places.”

Based on data from its first few days in the market, Hits Daily Double expects the album to reach 13-15,000 sales by the end of the April 28-May 4 tracking period.

The inclusion of TEA (track sales/10) and SEA (track streams/1500) should yield a first-week consumption figure in the 14-16,000 range.

“Places” is the follow-up to “Louder,” which sold 62,000 pure US copies in its first week. The count was enough for #4 on the then-sales-only Billboard 200.

Kendrick Lamar’s “DAMN.” is expected to retain the #1 position on this week’s Billboard 200 (which now measures overall consumption). Gorillaz’ new “Humanz” should lead the pure sales chart.
