DJ Khaled’s “I’m The One (featuring Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper and Lil Wayne)” had a big opening day at radio.

In addition to reaching #1 on the US iTunes sales chart, DJ Khaled’s “I’m The One (featuring Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper and Lil Wayne)” had an impressive opening day at radio.

The pop and urban formats, in particular, showered “I’m The One” with support.

Aided by “on the hour” support across many stations (including the iHeartMedia network of stations), “I’m The One” received what Mediabase reports as 1,378 pop radio spins on Friday. The count positions “I’m The One” at #36 on Mediabase’s building pop chart, which ranks songs based on airplay received during the first six days of the April 23-29 tracking week.

“I’m The One” meanwhile received 453 opening day spins at the urban format. The count positions “I’m The One” at #49 on Mediabase’s building urban chart.

While it is not yet in the format’s building Top 50, the all-star collaboration also had a big day at rhythmic radio. Fourteen stations played the song at least 10 times Friday. Seven of those stations played it over 15 times, while two played it at least 20 times.
